Office Administrator
My name is Dakota Greathouse. I am the office administrator at Global Midwifery Services. I wanted an all natural in home birth. Having reached out to a general OBGYN I expressed my desires of this and this is where my little family’s journey began. She gave me the name of a clinic that would forever change our lives. From my very 1st conversation with Faisa, my Midwife & my very necessary doula Janay, I knew this journey was going to be meaningful, educational, and memorable. As a 1st time mother there are so many hills & valleys. Faisa and her team were right beside us taking the ride with us, answering every question and finding answers to the ones that seemed far fetched. Fast forward to September 7th the day our baby girl entered the world surrounded by so much love and support that was provided by Faisa and her amazing team and our family members. Never once did I have any unnecessary worry, doubt, or stress about my care or my babies care. My partner and my mom were able to play important roles throughout the entire birth. Fast forward to today. My belief in what Faisa and her amazing team provide the community is so strong that I am now employed with them as the “Office Administrator.” It has been such a positive journey to be on both sides of the street. I look forward to serving you in any way I can to help make this very powerful journey a memorable one.

Ekua-Yaaba Monkah, Doula Program Manager
Ekua-Yaaba Monkah, Doula Program Manager
Hi, I’m Ekua-Yaaba Monkah (she/her), and I serve as the Doula Program Manager at Global Perinatal Services. My passion for Black maternal and child health—and for reproductive justice—started when I was young, shaped by the stories of mistreatment that the women in my family experienced at the hands of medical providers in the U.S.
That calling led me to become a certified doula through Cornerstone Doula Trainings in Oakland, CA, in 2020. Fun fact: my very first client was my older sister in 2022!
I earned my Master of Public Health in Epidemiology (Maternal and Child Health) from the University of Washington in 2024, where I built a strong foundation in research, data analysis, and public health leadership. Over the years, I’ve worked across multiple sectors of public health—including community-based nonprofits, a Black-led private implementation science firm, and a local tribal health department.
At GPS, I’m committed to ensuring that doulas have the tools, resources, and support they need to help birthing people and their families thrive. Outside of work, you can find me exploring new restaurants with friends and family, working out, journaling, or binge-watching reality game shows.
